Greater Englewood Unity Day (Community Clean Up & Celebration)
@
Unity is in the air! It is that time of year to come together for the 6th Annual Greater Englewood Unity Day in connection with Chicago’s Citywide Clean and Green Volunteer Clean Up on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10am-1pm. A unity celebration filled with food, fun and love will follow the clean up from 1pm-3pm.
Last year, we had over 200 volunteers sign up to get their hands dirty with cleaning up various areas through out the community. This year we want to do it even bigger! We want as many organizations, schools, buisnesses, churches, block clubs and groups to come together to help clean up Englewood and West Englewood. We ask that all those interested in particpating complete the Greater Englewood Unity Day Registration Form. Completing this form will help us keep track of all organizations committed to participating in the community clean up, clean up sites, volunteers and donated items.
The deadline to order cleanup tools (rakes, shovels, brooms, and trash bags) is Monday, April 16th. Call 3-1-1 for more information or to place an order for your site/block.
You are also invited to attend the last planning meeting for the Unity Day Clean up on Monday, April 16th from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Imagine Englewood If located on 730 W. 69th Street.
Unity Day is open to all entities and people who want to help clean up and promote neighborhood pride and unity! The schedule for the day is below:
